The Journal of Value Inquiry is an international, peer-reviewed, philosophical quarterly, founded in 1967 by James Wilbur, devoted to stimulating and communicating research in the study of value. The essays published in the journal chiefly concern moral philosophy, political philosophy, and aesthetics. We also feature articles considering issues in social and legal theory or practice and the history of ethics. The Journal of Value Inquiry is a forum for presentation of the rich diversity of approaches available within these areas. It is committed to openness, cosmopolitanism, and the sharing of insights about humanity.
