The Journal of Pediatrics is an international, peer-reviewed journal that advances pediatric research and serves as a practical guide for pediatricians who manage health and diagnose and treat disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. The Journal publishes original work based on standards of excellence and expert peer review. The Journal seeks to publish evidence-based and novel work that is relevant to pediatric clinical medicine, academic medicine, and every aspect of child health. Categories of publications include original articles and brief reports (clinical trials, other clinical investigations, and translational research), medical progress, expert commentary, grand rounds, editorials, summaries of workshops/symposia, “classic” findings on physical examinations, and novel insights and images related to pediatrics. In general, we do not publish animal model studies or preclinical studies without direct relevance to children.
