Science Education publishes original articles focused on current and emerging challenges of international concern in science curriculum, teaching, learning, and policy; preparation and support of science teachers; and climate change and environmental education research. Science Education aims to advance our knowledge of science education theory and practice While we greatly value interdisciplinary perspectives and recognize the importance of STEM education as a growing and impactful area of scholarship, Science Education focuses specifically on research that advances understanding within science education. As such, we typically do not publish manuscripts that engage STEM education only as a broad interdisciplinary construct without a clear anchoring in science education research and theory. We encourage you to consider journals with a broader STEM or interdisciplinary education focus that may be a better fit for this valuable work.
